Anger Management Groups
Anger is an emotion we all feel.
It is what a person does with their anger that differs. Anger, a normal
human emotion, is the body's reaction to hurt or the threat of hurt.
There are two major problems
with anger; not expressing it (which leads to resentment, depression, and
health problems), and expressing it irresponsibly (which can lead to exploding
hostility and even physical violence).
Our program assists people with
addressing the issues causing the anger as well as the need to release
the anger safely and responsibly without directing it towards anyone else.
Child Abuse Offender Program
There are many kinds of
child abuse, and an equal number of kinds of offenders. To single one out
here would be misleading.
We offer a variety of programs
to address these issues. Please contact us for details regarding
the particular program or service which would apply to your situation.
Co-Parenting Counseling
Our co-parenting program is for parents of divorce
who are court ordered to meet with a therapist to help them develop a "business
relationship" of cooperative parenting. Both parents meet together
with the therapist at the same time to help with communication, cooperation
and problem solving skills.
We have helped many participants using our approach
to proactive parenting and are confident you will find our offering to
be high quality, exceptional and a great learning experience.
Critical Incident Stress Debriefing
Tragedies, deaths, serious
injuries, hostage situations, threatening situations - these events are
known as "Critical Incidents." People who respond to emergencies encounter
highly stressful events almost every day, but they are not the only people
who are affected by them. Sometimes an event is so traumatic or overwhelming
that a person may experience significant stress reactions. The Critical
Incident Stress Debriefing process is specifically designed to prevent
or mitigate the development of post-traumatic stress among individuals.
Family Counseling
We offer a variety of services and programs for
families of all types.
Whether the need is parenting, couples counseling
or some other type of assistance we are here to help.
Our professionals have many years experience
at tailoring a service to the needs of the individual family situation.
Group Therapy
We offer a variety of services
and programs through group therapy. Please contact us regarding the particular
group type you are interested in. We have groups starting on a regular
basis, and will be glad to provide you with additional information.
Individual Counseling
Individual therapy consists of
face-to-face contacts between a qualified professional and the person(s)
in treatment. The focus is on the present problem and associated feelings,
assessing possible causes of the problem, and possible alternative courses
of action and their consequences. The frequency and type of treatment will
be decided on an individual basis between you and your therapist.
Marital / Couples Counseling
We offer a variety of services
and programs for families of all types.
Whether the need is parenting,
couples counseling, or some other type of assistance we are here to help.
Our professionals have
many years experience at tailoring a service to the needs of the individuals
involved and their particular situation.
Parenting Education
Poor parenting skills can have
devastating and lasting effects on relationships. Lack of good parenting
skills can also lead to poor self-esteem in your children and the modeling
of inappropriate behavior. Learning effective parenting skills will not
only improve your relationships with your children and co-parent(s), but
also reinforce appropriate behavior in others.
Whether you are a single parent,
married couple, blended family, or going through a divorce we offer a comprehensive
parenting program.
Our Parenting Education Program
is based on psycho-educational approach to better parenting, developed
by experienced licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, and clinically
tested to be effective. We have helped many participants using our approach
to proactive parenting and are confident you will find our offering to
be high quality, exceptional and a great learning experience.
Play Therapy
Play is the language of
a child, and Play Therapy is a specialized therapy approach that builds
on the normal communicative and learning processes of children. Today
play therapy refers to a large number of treatment methods, all applying
the therapeutic benefits of play and building upon the natural ways that
children learn about themselves and their relationships in the world around
them.
The Association for Play
Therapy defines play therapy as "the systematic use of a theoretical model
to establish an interpersonal process wherein trained play therapists use
the therapeutic powers of play to help clients prevent or resolve psychosocial
difficulties and achieve optimal growth and development."
Our Play Therapy is specialized
to the individual client by an experienced and certified play therapist
based upon the particular situation. Please contact us for additional
information.

demoralized, guilty, inadequate, and emotionally exhausted? Is your
child controlling, bossy, manipulative, defiant, sneaky, argumentative,
